ZAQ BAKER TEAM

  • What if Billy Joel was younger and dumber? What if a passionate quintet jumped around from synthpop to high-energy emo to musical theatre? Ranging from the quirky to the desperately serious, Zaq Baker Team dares to ask these questions. In exploring love, mental illness, and growing up, Zaq Baker and his material have been described as “really whiny” and “like the male Taylor Swift.” Zaq’s full albums and EP’s, which are streaming everywhere, including their latest project, “If It’s Not Zaq Baker Live at the Green Room, I’m Not Going” (2023). Zaq Baker Team features Sheldon Way, Conor Lee, Andy Kallevig, and Hayley Lewis.

SHOELESS REVOLUTION

  • Hailing from St. Paul, the Shoeless Revolution are a high-energy band that has anvil’d their sound and aligned their rhythms to the worlds of funk, jam, and rock with pop sensibilities to create a cinder shower of fast-soul-aerobic-fusion that hearkens the call of the funk-visceral-gods! Oh, and the lack of footwear? It’s a mystery. Constantly changing, forever together, irrefutably footwear impaired, they’ll make you move in ways that haven’t even been invented yet.

VIVA KNIEVEL

  • Viva Knievel is an 8-to-100 piece fearless American wrecking ball. The band boasts chaotic stage shows, an unnecessary amount of sunglasses, face-melting guitar solos and earth-rumbling renditions of all your favorite songs that other bands are too afraid to play. We like to take our audiences on a daredevil flight through the decades. We first concentrate on the songs that brought groove and swagger, Marshall's and Vistalites, big hair and bigger songs to the masses. Then, we show you what we’re really made of. Featuring a full horn-section, Viva Knievel gets down on it and delivers some of the best renditions of funk and soul your step-dad has ever heard. When you regain consciousness, we’ll launch into modern mode and deliver all of your favorite contemporary hits with such a fervor and perfection, you’ll swear you’re dreaming. Well, you’re not. You’re witnessing the spectacle that is: Viva Knievel. You’re welcome.

BUFFALO FUNCTION MUSIC BAND

  • Waves crash upon your feet as your skin feels the spice of the sun. A moment on a beach you can keep with you forever. This feeling, and more, is what the Buffalo Function Music Band explores. Formed in the Twin Cities originally as mannequins for a designer's fashion collection, the Summer Solstice brought to life this groovy Minneapolis crew to play your favorite exotica and bossa nova hits. The band includes vocals from Rachel Holder, Judi Vinar, Katie Gearty, Woodwinds from Rich Manik, Percussion by Nate Babbs, Guitar by Patrick Horigan, Organs Franky Merchlewitz and bass by Benjamin Kelly.

JILLIAN RAE

  • Lauded as a “triple threat on vocals, fiddle and composition” (Star Tribune), Jillian Rae is a fiercely unique spirit who cares more about making authentic music than about conforming to expectations. The Minneapolis-based, classically trained violinist turned country fiddler has become a commanding international presence— writing powerful genre-bending songs, heading up her own critically acclaimed indie rock band, and backing up Grammy-winning acts like The Okee Dokee Brothers.

THOMAS ABBAN

  • Uncompromising, mystical, mysterious, ethereal, with an artistic voice all of his own- multi-instrumentalist Thomas Abban is hard to categorize and even harder to ignore. His music balances the accessible with the bewildering. His ethereal voice glides above a tumultuous ocean of musical exploration.Rhythms and melodies feel at home, but a home a galaxy away. All of Thomas Abban's music is written, arranged, produced, and performed by himself. His latest single "Where Is Everybody?" was released on Feb 7th.

MCNASTY BRASS BAND

  • McNasty Brass Band is a collection of Twin Cities-based horn players and percussionists that fuse the Minneapolis sound with the spirit of New Orleans. The outcome of this fusion is hard-hitting dance music and high-energy live shows. Each player works outside of McNasty Brass Band either fronting their own projects, or as a collaborator, contributing to the Twin Cities’ music scene and beyond. That’s what makes McNasty special- these artists come together and showcase their compositions, solos, group vocals, and stage presence as a 10-person outfit. “McNasty Brass Band is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t make fun of the kid who is super into trumpet in 5th grade” (twincitiesmedia.net).

LA BUCKNER & BIG HOMIE

  • Arthur “L.A.” Buckner‘s deep infatuation with music began at an early age. At age 3 he would practically go an entire church service without looking away from the drums. His father took notice and shortly thereafter purchased his first drum kit. L.A. Buckner is a performing musician, teaching artist, and producer from the Northside of Minneapolis. Currently, LA serves as co-host for the two-time Webby award-winning PBS music education YouTube series Sound Field. In August 2020, LA took iTunes by storm with the release of his project BiG HOMiE, which reached the #1 Jazz position within 24 hours of its release.

ZOO ANIMAL

  • Formed in 2008, and off a years-long hiatus, Tim Abramson, Thom Burton and Matt Latterell return to join Holly Hansen as the minimal grunge pop band, Zoo Animal. Holly's evocative vocals, paired with poignant lyrics, create a powerful narrative that draws listeners into a vibrant musical experience. Known for their eclectic sound and elements of indie rock, folk, and electronic influences, Zoo Animal continues to carve its unique path, leaving an indelible mark on the Minneapolis music scene and beyond.

NUR-D

  • One of the fastest rising stars in Minnesota's music scene, Nur-D burst onto the stage in 2018. Imagine the soulful sounds of Bruno Mars or Childish Gambino, the powerful energy of Chance the Rapper, the pop culture punchlines of an episode of "Community," all rolled up into a show that everyone can enjoy à la The Fresh Prince. Performing alongside national acts like MisterWives, Ludacris, Tyler The Creator, and the Grammy Award winning Minnesota Orchestra, Nur-D is well on his way to becoming a household name! With nine full length projects, each with their own flair to his discography, Nur-D has something special for any occasion. Nur-D is a breath of fresh air in the Hip Hop world and fans are feeling the same. Boasting a fervent fan base across the US and around the globe, Nur-D is a breath of fresh air in the Hip Hop world and fans are feeling the same.
